5 Nuts – A Health Wise Snack
According to a meta-analysis appearing in the Journal of
Nutrition, researchers concluded that consumption of 50
to 100 grams of nuts five times per week as
part of a heart-healthy
diet with 35% total fat
content (high in
mono- and/or polyunsaturated
fatty acids)
may significantly decrease total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol
in individuals with normal and high cholesterol levels.
The studies included almonds, peanuts, pecans and
